Bronc Activities

Aerospace Club offers students a dynamic and hands-on opportunity to explore various aspects of aerospace science and technology, including drones, rocketry, aviation, remote control aircraft, and pathways to earning a private pilot's license. Members engage in activities like building and piloting drones, designing and launching rockets, participating in advanced flight simulation, and customizing remote control aircraft. The club fosters teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership, enhancing STEM understanding through real-world applications. Partnerships with local aerospace organizations, flight schools, and industry professionals provide mentorship and opportunities to participate in competitions , expos, and demonstrations. Through these experiences, students gain valuable skills, inspiration, and potential career pathways in the dynamic field of aerospace.

Meetings are held at 3:15 pm on Tuesdays.

Art Club is active year-round and meets in room 231A on Thursdays during lunch.

Clay Club is for the pottery enthusiast. It has been a club for more than 30 years and is still going strong! Ever wanted to use the potter's wheel to throw a vase or mug? Do you like to sculpt things using your hands? Were you the little kid who loved Play-Doh to make fun 3-dimensional shapes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Clay Club is for you!

Clay Club meets year-round every other Tuesday after school in room 115, starting the first week in October.

Drama club meets Thursday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:15 in room 138 and is open to all students wishing to participate in one or more aspects of theatre. This includes behind-the-scenes work such as lighting, sound, set design and construction, make-up, costuming, and poster and program design.

The purpose of the club is to support theatre at Billings Senior High School, through participation in the mainstage plays and fundraising. In addition to providing opportunities to be onstage, the theatre department participates in community outreach programs and Saturday Live.

Billings Senior High School is also a member of the International Thespian Society. Thespian Troupe #555 is our chapter of the ITS, which is an honorary organization for high school theatre students. Troupe #555 has elected officers and those officers plan and conduct all Drama Club meetings. According to the Thespian Troupe Handbook, "The Thespian troupe is a subset of the theatre arts program. It is the student honor society, a separate student organization, and membership is earned. Any student may be a member of the theatre program, but only students who have been officially inducted and registered with the EdTA national office are members of the theatre program and the International Thespian Society...students earn induction points by participating in an affiliated school's theatre program and/or community theatre programs, and accumulating points based on the quality and quantity of their work in theatre." Students who are members of ITS are eligible to perform and attend workshops at the International Thespian Convention in Missoula in February.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a dynamic, student-led organization the connects classroom learning to leadership, service, and real-world career preparation.

FCCLA is not a club, and it is not extracurricular. It is an intracurricular Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that is integrated into Family and Consumer Science (FCS) education. It transforms what students are already learning in the classroom into hands-on opportunities to lead, grow, and succeed.

From culinary arts to fashion design, education and training to nutrition, human development to hospitality, FCCLA helps students in FCS courses advance their knowledge, apply it in meaningful ways, and prepare for careers that support families and strengthen communities.

FCCLA meets on Tuesdays during lunch in room 136.

Geology Club is active year-round and we do a variety of activities from crystal wrapping, making bracelets and amulets, and sifting through samples for minerals and fossils.

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a social lunch club for LGBTQ+ students and allies that meets year-round. The club's purpose is to create a welcoming and supportive community for its members and all students at Senior High.

The Bronc yearbook and newspaper are classes and organizations that serve to document a historical record of the school, give a voice to the student body, and provide exposure to unique students, clubs, and organizations. Journalists cover live events to report and take photos as well as interview staff and students for publication. These opportunities help students learn the basics of journalism and the rights and responsibilities of a free press.

The mission of Raza Unida (Hispanic Leadership Club) is to build a safe space space for youth of Hispanic, Latino/a, Chicano/a, or other identities to learn more about their culture while also sharing their culture with other students and teachers. The Club celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, Dia de Los Muertos, Cinco de Mayo, and other Hispanic holidays. Raza Unida fundraises to have traditional Aztec dancers to celebrate a Fiesta at the end of the year. Students will learn to cook traditional foods, bake pastries, make arts and crafts and overall embrace their culture.

This club meets year-round on two Thursdays each month.

STEM Society is a student-lead organization that aims to increase participation and awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics courses and professions.

Extracurricular events are offered including, but not limited to, STEM Magic shows at elementary schools, field research opportunities, collaboration with Rocky Mountain College research students, studies at the ExxonMobil Nature Preserve, and so much more!

Students who participate in STEM Society have the option to earn an academic letter in science which is unique to only Senior High School.
